For this client all she needed from me was a new furniture layout, and design scheme for her main living room. She had aleady chosen two chairs in a nice jacobean fabric along with 2 leather sofas. My client was worried it wouldn’t all fit nicely in the space, and wanted to make sure the navy/grey colour of the newly ordered sofas would tie into the rest of her space.
These are some of the before photos I took at our first consultation. All the existing furniture is being moved into the basement and everything upstairs in the main living room will be new.
Most of my design was done via email… or e-design as I like to call it, helping to keep my client on budget.
I wanted to give my client lots of options to consider so she could acquire these pieces herself over time, all working within her budget and an overall aesthetic. My client had a love for design, but just needed direction and this was the way to do this. The space won’t feel “overly designed” because she will pick everything out for herself, but all tying into this overall aesthetic of “traditional luxury.”
E- design is a great way to get a designer’s eye without the high price tag!
